Bad Credit Auto Giant Frequently Asked Questions
What are the minimum requirements?
There is not a clear, set-in-stone set of minimum guidelines for automotive lending. Most lenders utilize a scoring system that considers factors such as:
  • Credit report score
  • Time on job
  • Disposable income
  • Debt ratio
  • Loan amount vs. collateral value
If any of the following applies to your situation, your loan may not be approved:
  • Gross monthly income is less than $1,500.
  • Recent repossession that is not included in a bankruptcy.
  • Currently in debt counseling.
Is everyone approved?
Everyone gets qualified, but not everyone is approved.
  • For Example: If a person had one month job time and multiple repossessions within the last year they may be qualified to purchase a car with a 25% down payment. However, if they had no money for a down payment, they may not get approved.
Is there an age qualification?
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service.

Can I use this service to finance a car from a private party?
We do not arrange car loans for private purchases. If you have bad credit, you may be limited to purchasing through a dealer via an indirect lender. Most direct lenders who provide financing for private purchases do not provide lending programs for people with bad credit.

I do not have a down payment. Can I still finance a car?
There are zero-down lending programs available, however your inventory choices may be more limited under these programs.

I'm behind on my current auto loan. Can I use The Giant to refinance it?
BadCreditAutoGiant.com is not a direct lender, and we are unable to refinance auto loans.

I'm in Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Should I still apply?
We recommend that you check with your trustee first. The trustee has to authorize any new debts while you are in the Chapter 13. Most lenders require that your plan is at least 50% complete before you take on new debt obligations.

Is your service available nationwide?
Yes. We have affiliated dealers in most markets across the United States and Canada.

What happens if there is not an affiliate dealer located in my area?
Your loan will be processed by an affiliate dealer who services your area.

How long does the loan process take? Most loans are processed quickly. Processing may be delayed for verification of employment and/or residence.
